Finding the new face of their baby and toddler range for supermarket giant Asda was one of the toughest tasks we’ve ever faced.

Eventually we chose five-month-old Cody Tyrell and now he’ll appear on promotional material in the stores’ baby, toddler and George aisles. Little Cody will receive a EUR1,447 Child Trust Fund. Doting mum Charlene, 25, wins EUR482 worth of Asda shopping and EUR301 for a shopping spree at George – and pamper day for two people at Nirvana Spa. So meet Cody… and the cutest runners-up ever!

Mum Julie France, 41, said: “He’s a great little lad, a bit of a cheeky chap actually, and it looks like we’re just heading for the terrible twos with him!

“He’s got tons of personality and he loves other kids so he’s managed to keep us smiling through it all. We’re really proud of him.”

Skye Northern, 10 months, from Peterborough, Cambs

Mum Cheryll Hastie, 31, says: “Skye is my little angel and this is really exciting for us. Skye’s a really talkative, cheerful child and she absolutely adores her big sister Piper, who is three. She follows her all over the place and they have lots of fun together.”

Mum Michelle Williams, 34, says: “She’s such a little tomboy so it’s great she’s so pretty too. We always get stopped by people saying how gorgeous she is. Beautiful big eyes like Macy’s stop people in their tracks.”

Mum Sophie Harmin, 22, says: “Tahira is so cute with a massive personality. My mum says she’s like medicine because she puts a smile on your face. Tahira loves making us laugh – she crinkles her nose and breathes like a dragon till we all laugh.”

Theo Hutchinson, 20 months, from Colchester, Essex

Proud dad Nick, 35, says: “Theo is a great little chap, really smiley and happy. He’s our first so we’re dead proud anyway, but this is brilliant. People always stop us in the street to say what a gorgeous little boy he is, and I agree! I’m not exaggerating – he’s a real stunner and we can’t walk down the road without someone saying how cute he is.”
